Future Horizon's Inc. "World leader in resources and Autism and Asperger's Syndrome" (their words not mine) indeed does a bang up job of being a mouth piece for autism. Since Rain Man the Movie made autism this big grossly MIS understood curse and every autistic person starting from the age of 3 or so is pigeonholed into a "I'm a retard and group home mentality" Autism has had no choice but to become an epidemic. It is an epidemic of ignorance. Future Horizon offers nearly 100 items mostly books explaining autism-well the modern -I have fallen and get up Autism of today. It features many great names in autism from Phd's That have never had an autism thought to popular Autism people that fit the image of "autism perfectly." There is indeed no room for people like me or others of us that DON"T live in a group home, hold real jobs and drive and mostly missed Rain Man 's Curse and even survive socially: we are not the image Autism expects or approves of. Autism is BOTH MR/DD and Einstein and modern autism has no clue to that ideal or how to get from one end to the other. Autism is the Building Blocks of the human mind if done correctly and 4 Th. grade college students if done as it is today. If our old working autism were allowed to be exposed the Autism we figured out is so simple autism could really become a grade 1 threw 6 preschool. Autism IS SIMPLE IF you know what your doing and IF you know the facts it is a different kind of human language and not a neurological disorder. You must admit lots of modern Autism is Publish or parish and TV appearances and NASCAR race cars and fundraiser and Autism awareness month ,all year around, all of which tend to make a big impression but also assure the peer review that guides autism research is only one sided- they can't have any hint of SUCCESSFULL autism people builiding on the work of Temple Grandin and taking Autism to the threshold of normal thoughts.

The day any autism "Expert" can tell you what goes on during our lack of eye contact picutre thoughts (never in a text book before) and can tell you of the Picutre in Picutre thoughts (they make us social) ,the 3 and 4 deminsion thoughts and the projection thoughts that are supposed to fill that void they will finally understand autism . (and the builing blocks of the mind) When they know our odd senses and lack of pain feeling and the fact our Optic and Brain Genrated vision is interchanged autism will again be the grand Einstein thought process it once was. When strict discpline and splinter skills and obsessions become our odd normal again, and we end up in two grades at once one above grade level and one below autism will naturally flow into real life just like it did for us. Rain Man and the aftermath screwed us all with the best of intention. I know it is hard to fathom I could have well been a copy of Sean Barron,Temple Grandin (I'm their age) but legions of us missing the curse Including Autism Hero Alan Turing (1912-1954) father of the computer and the 200 more of us (at least) that have been identified are just more than Autism can admit to. Peer Review Modern Autism assures they keep their modern Autism a good old boys network and their jobs intact -- someone has to keep the autistic "retards" in a group home. What a shame the very basics of man's mind the very building blocks of psychology are being squelched in the name of autism research. Too bad it has failed miserably.
