Autism - Another Understood Term In Science Massacred
Humans are not so smart after all, my "autistic friend" Einstein that I quote so often, had it right, he said,:"It is a Miracle When Things Happen and it is a Miracle When They Don't" By the Grace of some autistic miracle, autism has become an Epidemic so big that it has its own NASCAR race named for it. By some ignorant slip of the scientific process that got brought about by the Movie Rain Man autism is no longer the building blocks of man's mind but now the very definition "retard." Way too many of our peer reviewed autism professionals take great comfort in the niche market of their career placement as they can slumber in a career satisfied with bliss knowing all they need to do is coast and publish a few items occasionally. All they need to do if they want a raise or a chance at stardom is make some statement or do some bold autism event.
Assuming autism is MR/DD is their safety barrier and it gives most professionals 'carte blanche' to ignore everyone in the Group Home they should be listening to. The few professionals that do know the whole autism picture and the autism people that missed Rain Man's curse are just minor players in this huge Billion dollar Empire of Autism Demise. While the Epidemic of autism is indeed real it is a self inflicted Epidemic of Autism Ignorance.
Consider ALL of autism the pre and post Rain Man and see just what was dropped from the Old Autism diagnosis standards and you can see for sure why Autism suddenly became and epidemic-they lost track of 1/2 the facts of old working autism. Sincere honest caring autism research would be delighted to investigate all of autism even the working version of it before their curse was instigated, we can only assume the theater of autism Politics is corrupt and profit and fame driven. Mankind cheats himself yet again as too many less than stellar professionals would never risk their jobs to do what is right and investigate the autism that we know love and have figured out. Mankind is the biggest looser as our thoughts are the Di Vinci Code and we are not "smart enough" to be anything more than Group home Autisitcs-no matter how well we have overcame. When Rain Man say's your dumb as a sack of rocks and they take away our "help" with modern age autism practices that eliminate our hope we really do become that sack of rocks. Rock On Autism! Perhaps next year the Autism Speaks 400 (Nascar Race on American TV) might be the Autism Speaks 500? When Autism Professionals can tell the world of our picutre based thoughts that are both MR/DD and Einstein- they will also be able to explain how the mind operates and add 1000's of pages to the psychology books. The only lesion they need to learn is how to listen- that one is impo$$ible.
