2008 Autism Convention
39 Years of Missing the Point.
Yet another Dog and Pony Show from the Autism Society of America "the Voice of Autism " (their slogan not mine)
2008 marks the 39th Autism Conference sponsored by the Autism Society of America and this year it is in Orlando Florida July 9-12. It is a shame they have been at this for "40 years" and missed the point to all of autism. For one reason or another when designer post Rain Man Autism was born they either intentionally or ignorantly forgot 1/2 the facts of autism. Today there is a large group of mostly 40 plus year old autistic that totally figured out autism, a never in print before human thought process and the Autism Society Folks are not big enough to admit to us. I suspect they would have very red faces admitting to us and suddenly all of modern Epidemic autism would be questioned. Just how could they explain our Real Life Autism Success?
Old Working autism has connected the MR/DD side of autism the Einstein Side of Autism and indeed real life including social functioning all together to discover autism figured out yields nearly normal thoughts. We have discovered Autism Hero Alan Turing (1912-1954) was father of the computer and his biography The Enigma (1983 Hodges) is the working blueprint of autism all of our old working anthropology absently followed. If modern autism were forced to admit to us and all the old Crypto Sensitive Autism guidelines they forgot on purpose seemingly it would be TOO obvious why suddenly in the past 39 years Autism has become an epidemic of ignorance. At least the ignorance worked in our favor before the days when Autism was a buzzword and Psychology Guru's peer review Mecca. Going threw life undiagnosed in the days before designer autism was just pure heaven for us compared to the curse of today. Only the most severe autism cases were diagnosed in the era before Rain Man spoke. Back then we were Little Professor's and odd strange kids growing up the hard way. While we were doing long term sometimes 40 year plus double-blind life time autism experiences with matching results we were not done with our experience before Rain Man Era Autism ideals were born. After all according to the modern "Experts" we need to be in a group home by the time we are 18. Indeed they way modern Autism works we are there twiddling our thumbs being social rejects, just as were supposed to be. (look at the mold were poured from)? This begs the question, was the late Dr Rimland, father of the movie Rain Man ignorant, greedy or perhaps in a fame game?
In 1999 or 2000 I attended on the sly an autism convention in Indianapolis Indiana and talked with a guy named Tom a then 90 some year old former autism researcher that was also there on the sly to see what had become of autism. He walked up to me and said you hate noise people and crowds? You think in Pictures have a pain tolerance? You have one special interest in life? Of Course I answered? We talked a bit and he was very careful to wait for my eye contact to return before moving the conversation on knowing I was not connected to his words until my eyes were 'on' again. He said your Gay as well, of course I replied. He said he knew a lot of people just like me that overcame autism and like me missed Rain Man's Curse. We cringed together as we heard the speaker on the podium harping on the latest in designer autism. We cried as we cursed Rain Man and seen the Red Carpet of ignorance it created for way too many want to be autism experts. When we said our good byes he said you don't like hugs but give me a hug and joked keep your eyes on the road when driving back to Ohio-meaning don't picture think while driving!
While the Autism we know and love and have figured out is the building blocks of man's mind: it is Autism's responsibility to disseminate this long sought after knowledge but they are distracted as they have a billion dollars worth of Autism Empire to keep up. If they were honest researchers not after their reputations or a quick buck and not living up to the Rain Man Curse, mankind would have known about the building blocks of the mind by now. Due to the nature of autism no other psychology discipline has the line on this undiscovered but obvious thought process we do. In an honor among thieves or researcher type of thing, in this case no other research discipline will look at us until we are introduced by the autism researchers. Sadly admitting to us no matter how well we do is nothing but autism treason against a billion Dollar Empire. (humor) Take a quick guess on who is not going to be invited to the Autism Convention again this year?
