For my international readers and perhaps a few younger American's, I'm going to do a few posts on American President Abraham Lincoln 1809-1865. Lincoln indeed has rang all the bells in terms of being an old high functioning Autistic person. Bear in mind Autism from the 'dark ages' was totally non diagnosable and we just presented in odd strange and often grand ways. We earned our spots in society the hard way if we were lucky. Often we were visionaries and leaders by default as Autism's thought base assured we were self confident and autism's thought base displays a ledondary equal level thought base void of emotion and empathy (huge amounts of it) that tend to promote our often progressive views. Lincoln had no trouble after all freeing the slaves, I dare say a typical politician would have never taken on such a cause. Only someone realizing and thinking with Autism Thoughts would have had the wear with all and the self confidance to stand tall and alone in a noble cause. Autism belive it or not is the same as it has always been and before the designer curse of 2009. We really did overcome and learn a never in print before thought process that modern Autism Experts will never realize. Since Autism is BOTH MR/DD and Einstein modern Autism simply has got a hold of the wrong end of the autism stick and only the retardation side of Autism is glowing at the moment. On with the post.

"Abraham Lincoln's physical strength has become legendary, one of his fellow townsmen at New Salem, R.B. Rutledge ,a brother of the storied 'Ann' ,recalls this quality of the young Lincoln.
Trials of strength were very common among the pioneers. Lifting weights ,as heavy timbers piled one upon another ,was a favorite pastime ,and no workman in the neighborhood could at all cope with Mr. Lincoln in this direction. I have seen him frequently take a barrel of Whisky by the chimes and lift it up to his face as if to drink out of the bung hole. This feat he could accomplish with the greatest of ease. I never saw him taste or drink a drop of any kind of spirituous liquors. " R.B. Rutlege to Hendron , October 1866

Autism's Alan Turing ran marathon's with out walls, Your truly has had a series of alethetic persuits and injuries and birth defects (un even hips) that I never felt. Others in our old working Autism Group chime in with their injuries they never felt from motor bike crashes, to more uneven hips. WE never felt them! Weather we were getting hit by cars while riding bikes and yes even falling out of tree only to get up and walk away we never felt the serious pain or the even the signals from our bodies to tell us to 'ease up' . We seem to missing the clue- thus our Pain tolerance. At one time Old Pre Designer Autism was filled with this knowledge and even old autism brochures said we were un cuddly babies and would not move when held to be in a comfortable position.
This fact is glossed over in new Autism as it is easily ignored for a start and the Designer Autism Experts can't even fathom (as can any "medical expert") the idea of a population that is painless. Only when we suffer the greatest of injuries or most long-term and severe effects of something do we get the attention of the guru's that know medicne so well. When I painlessly walked into Mt Carmel East Hospital, Columbus Ohio with a huge needle in my foot that had been there for a day and only AFTER my X-ray confirmed the story did I get attention. (search X-Ray on this blog to see the picture of it) EVERY jaw in the Er Room from doctors to nurses to by standers was gathered around that viewing screen and no one could believe that sight and they all seen me walk in -painless.
