ABC NEWS SITE
From the Autism Society of America Central Ohio Chapter newsletter November 2008/December 2008
" Recourses of the month: www. autism today .com and ABC news recently launched it on Call + Autism center where visitor can find Answers to questions on Autism answered by medical experts from prestigious medical centers across the country. The Site includes over 200 common questions and answers about autism answered by knowledgeable professional in the field ,such as What is Autism Spectrum Disorder? What is an IEP?, and is Autism present from Birth? The Q and A's are broken down into the following categories: the segments featuring viewpoint from families and individuals affected by Autism , resources and autism special reports from Nightline and Good Morning America. Visitors can also post their own questions to the experts. To visit the site go ABC news.com health/autism."
I have not seen this completed site but I was consulted on it many times by ABC's Lara.X.Salahi.-ND@abc.com while she was researching the groundwork for the site. I told her of old Working autism and gave her the links to others like me that build on Temple's work . I had to warn her our story and its awesome results don't even ring a bell with the modern Autism Apologists that live the designer Autism dream. I'm sure when she checked out our story with the ASA for example the response she probably got was anything but complementary.
I look forward to looking over the site " Old Autisitcs" like me were promised an honorable mention at one time, I'd be interested if it came to pass. I fear with all the experts of autism onboard we were simply out gunned but I might be pleasantly shocked to discover all of the autism story on their site.
