Autism's Dust up
Autism has been figured out for years on end now- it is the internal thoughts that make normal thoughts work or in other words the short hand sublevel thoughts that make us appear 'normal' when they all function well. Of course they have never been in print before and the not one psychologist or autism guru knows enough about them to be more than dangerous. The entire Autism charade and the modern day epidemic of Autism cases, is just ignorance gone wild. Since Autism is the great fooler and is both MR/DD and Einstein and the keys to man's social functioning it has naturally been over blown over proportioned and dimmed down to the point of an epidemic. Our Internal thoughts are only known as the lack of eye contact in normal peoples thoughts but, what we are supposed to be thinking our way while our eyes are off; that is the nittiy gritty of the mind all figured out. These internal thoughts make all of man's mind function.
When Autism reached bumper sticker/ ribbon status (Autism is a Puzzle stickers) it has for sure, lost the vision and insight it once had of a puzzle solved. Read our Autism Blueprint in The Enigma by Andrew Hodges and see how our Alan Turing (1912-1954) over came autism and left the world the computer.
Meanwhile I rarely recommend many web sites but this one by a nurse practitioner is much better than normal It is a better than normal read for Autism these days

Please look it over and get a better than average feel for what Autism has become. Sad but, if Autism had not become a buzz word and an Epidemic we would be writing about the roots man's mind right now and not be worried about diagnosing someone autistic and condemning them to a group home. The same people in the group homes that never developed could be the visionaries of tomorrow. Man just cheated himself ,yet again.

Rich,
Thanks for making this site. I was not diagnosed with autism until I was in my early 20s but learned to cope and function just fine thanks to my great parents.
Autism shouldn't be compared to a death sentence!
I am forever bewildered by the ambiguity within the autism community. All I know is what I live. I have a severely autistic child (seen on you tube under kgaccount). He is severely autistic with self injurious behaviors and epilepsy. Yet, there is something really special about him. He is not a hopeless case, though if you believe all the new age crap that's infiltrated the autism community, you may think that....despite all his challenges, even the pummeling his fists into his head, he is an incredibly strong soul. A warrior. Jenny mcCarthy, the fraud who poses as a mom of an autistic child, does not nor ever will understand true autism. Her brief experience with febrile seizures and subsequent developmental delays is in no way equal to living with real autism. Yet, this is the false image we have now of autism, thanks to McCarthy and non thinkers who believe her. Anyhoo, I adore my son. He, despite his incredible challenges, is a blessing. Yes, there are days I think, dear God I am going to put my head though a window, but evertime I think this, God has given me grace and ability to press on and help my son. My son is very complex. His autism is the kind you don't hear about very often. It's intense. It's chronic. It could bring you to your knees. It's not an acute illness where I will write a book about a cure and then appear on Oprah and make millions off of the autism label. Instead, I will spend millions of hours caring for my son in the quiet, secluded setting of our home. Non-Hollywoood style. No book offers. No talk shows. No claims of cures. Just quiet reality. Just the plain ole dedication of years and years of service to another person whom we must care for and protect. No Nannies. No chefs. No gardeners. No press releases. Just living and breathing real autism in california.
Interesting story as for me. It would be great to read a bit more about this topic. Thnx for posting this info.

Autism, used to be something else before the Rain Man Era and many of us by the time we were 30 or so actually figured out autism the never in print before thought process. It really is psychology 101 and the building blocks of the mind.
When we shine or do the impossible contemporary autism is just awash with our success, they just sweep us under the rug not knowing "why" we did what we do as they also fear our story of "success" getting out. If it did much of current autism practice would be seen as overblowen hype.
Meanwhile our parents and caretakes and teachers and tutors see the shine in us see our hope ,experience our good points and try to build on them the best they can. The parents of Old Autism did the same thing and our blue print is in the the book The Enigma the biography of Alan Turing 1912-1954. This Biography is Autism all spelled out before it went designer.
