Ashamed to be Autisitic: Actually, I am Proud I was able to Figure out the Puzzle
The puzzle of autism is not autism, but rather the post Rain Man Ignorance that fuel's a massive miscarriage of ju$tace.
As I did a search on Yahoo last night of "autism" 150 minutes later and on page 40 something, of the search and somewhere around the 350th listing relating to autism it finally sunk-in I/2 of the listings seem to be for or against or on one side or the other of the autism debate. (the what caused it debate) This tit for tat fighting is nothing but poison that does nothing but raise blood pressure, flair tempers and it promotes no quality research what so ever. Rain Man's Curse is as its fully glory. The louder the debate the smaller the points are that are used to "stick It" to one side or the other: Autism is due for an attitude adjustment.
I would guess 60% of modern autism is the direct result of Rain Man and untentionally this movie and the people jumping in the fire pit on Rain Man's coat tails has made Autism the next big buzzword. It seems psychologists and researchers come from far and wide to do their thing, make their money and even try to extract their fame from Autism's epidemic. What better way to make money than researching a disadvantaged population. No one would ever expect or even believe that some 'retard' could have ever figured out our condition and yet we have an entire anthropology of folks that have completed the autism experience; we are just a pain in the *** in this spirited debate. Admitting to us will unintentionally deflate the autism empire and its 'Epidemic.' Obviously the ruined familles the kids actually turned into modern day autistic zombies do nothing more than cry alone in private and scream out loud in public. They have every right to scream and to evict Autism's current agenda.
Meanwhile Autism's living anthropology and insight into Mankind's undiscovered secrets and even a "new language" that has never been in print before is simply swept under the rug. Our proven long term Autism flourishes well in daily life, we do the autistic impossible everyday. Most of us missed Rain Man's curse, and our anthropology is a wonderful mix of really old and young modern aspies. Only about one-third of those in the spectrum "know us" relate to us and totally fit our anthropology. That fact alone scares modern Autism as it's empire is based on new modern lowered Autism diagnosis criteria.
The Autism Empire has lost sight of its own toes. If you know what to look for; autism that really makes the autism of old (and New) is still alive and well. It is hidden on the web and in plain view in groups such as those suffering from Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD) and there is another group of 3500 or so people on a Yahoo group called Imagestraming,,,, Image streaming is where these folks purposely try to picture think to solve their problems invoke their imaginations. I think lots of people in that group are "former Aspies" They do a traditional life and come home to their Autism thoughts to really think with. Autism's Picture Thinking again as never been in print before and no Ph.D. type of person will even admit to is as they falsely assume all knowledge is figured out and in a college course. College and Universities are enslaved to the money that support them and thus our OBVIOUS figured out Autism is a day late and a dolor $hort.
If Autism were left alone and Rain Man never exposed us to a mad mad world fueled by supercharged dose of hype. I predict that Autism (the old boring stuff) would be under control by now and we would even be teaching Autism by 6th grade! The revered books of Autism would be like Thinking in Pictures and many more like that that have yet to be published from within our anthropology. Autism is nothing more than a foreign language that no one has ever figured out in academic circles. Knowledge seemingly never comes up from the bottom and is claimed only to be creditable if it some down from research and a university. I wish I could be full of Spite and yell, look who is having the last laugh now as our figured out autism silently swims like a duck calm and forgotten on the surface and working hard under the surface. But, actually I just cry/to realize autism was hijacked and mankind was set back another few centuries.
