Pre Rain Man Autism

Figured out Autism is the next 1000 chapters in psychology. Once we learn the picture thoughts that happen during the lack of eye contact, normal thoughts result. We build on the work of Temple Grandin and we missed Rain Man 's curse. Autism Is BOTH mrdd and Einstein and even social functioning people

There are at least 200 more Autisitc people like me, that function very well and modern autism will not own up to us. We connect MR/DD to Einstein and real life. We missed Rain Man's curse (thankfully) The Turing Motor is Green has no up and down moving parts and will get a reasonable car 90 MPG. It is the motor Ford and Mercedes would have built if they understood their own. It is Autistic Obession and splinter skills all figured out!

99 Conversations People Have

The "99" Converstaions People Have.

Being Autisitc and having traditional thought as a second language and not the first we learned to mimic traditional conversation as we learned our primary thoughts on our own by trial and error. Our Picture based optic canceling thoughts require us to in so many words to take your daydreams and convert them to real words, or action. Fledgeling Autistic people might never have got the chance to "catch-up." Normal conversation moves so quick that by the time we figure out what we want to say the conversation has moved on or even ended. We have to take our picture thoughts that could be worth a 1000 words or a million thoughts and convert them relevant speech in a matter of a few milliseconds. That is indeed impossible so we have absently learned to do the next best thing we learned the conversation pattern and types people have and simply fill in the blanks with their names and facts etc.

That step in our thoughts that converts picture thoughts to real words is the / key to autism\. We need to water down our thoughts and turn them into words, a task easier said than done. It is also a task that has never graced a text book before and no psychologist or Autism "expert" has bothered to learn form us. If we ever got our wish of a true autism school we would call the this the basics like you refer to the ABC's. These are the ABC's of autism. It took many of us 3-4-5-6-10 years to figure out the steps to our basic steps and some Autisitcs have never had the chance to even be exposed or had the chance to figure out their basics. Sadly Modern Autism hasn't helped too much as what little chance we had of figuring out our conditions vanished with the advent of diagnosis. If our Anthropology were ever studied it would be obvious changing a few things really killed us.

Conversations people have are predictable, our families conversations are the most predicable as we know nearly all of their scripts. People in general have pretty much a scripted conversation in introductions, general chit chat, job interviews, bitch sessions and the basic conversation is put in high gear when one is angry. An angry conversation is just a nasty version of other conversation with a little less fore thought to guide the precious few words of wisdom in a shouting match. If people are lucky during confrontation the right word slips out between the "**** ***" and the other expletives to defuse the conversation.

Generally those of us with proficient thoughts can be dropped in the middle of most conversation these days and still fit in. Occasionally we miss a few points or use the wrong script but was are also masters short sassy comebacks-what we call a gloss over—People really don't listen we have found, to words at least, they more likely listen for the tone of conversation and a few patterns they are familiar with to assure them we are on topic. It takes 20 normal conversations at times to make point it seems. American's are noted for more politically correct conversation but Europeans are more likely to say the word they mean even at the risk of slightly offending someone. Dancing around a subject only draws out the conversation and buries the point that needs made even further in chit chat.

I (we) have heard from many in autism that claim we are not Autistic as we speak too well and carry on too good of a conversation but, we just completed the ENTIRE autism experience as we know it. Simple Expert minds often simply claim we are not autistic without taking into account our real life real world experience. In their eye we indeed are not autistic. To be honest neither are they and until they have walked a mile in our shoes and climbed our mountain the impasse of autism will remain.

Three Stages of Truth

The Three Stages of Truth

from 19c philosopher Author Schopenhauer

ALL TRUTH PASSES THROUGH THREE STAGES

ONE, It is ridiculed

TWO, It is violently opposed

THREE, It is accepcted as self- evident

Now, years later, these words still ring true and Mr. Schopenhauer could probably add more to his observations as we now deal with powerful spin, loud screaming points of view that now use tools such as the net, radio and TV and of course money: that really throws a ringer in the Three Stages of Truth. I suspect the three stages are still the same today but stages One and Two have a life all of their own.

I quoted this observation on page one of my book Autism, Pre Rain Man Autism and have seen all three stages working for and against me. I have seen the foul side of humanity with stages one and two too many times. Hate mail, nasty politically driven stunts and just plain ignorance that scream a bit too loud all assure me I'm alive and have at least struck a nerve or two.

I have also experienced stage Three a few times as well and it restores my faith in people. Weather it is an aspie that instantly realizes the next step in their journey, a conversation between Picture Thinkers (totally different than you would expect) or a phone call bumbling with excitement from an Aspie friend that just did a social function and passed muster for the firsttime to an Autism professional that indeed realizes we have done something big, stage Three is payment for One and Two. I even get apologies from many people sent me hate mail and vulgar photos over the net and even tried to resend child porn in my name.

Not many of our supporters are in a position to come out and support us publicly as their job and reputation are on the line. The parents that love us and know their kids relate to us are in awe. Politically, we (our anthropology) might never overcome stages one and two as too many odds are against us for one thing we are spread pretty thin all over the world and we just can't walk in to an Autism Convention. If we could 2-3-400 Temple Grandins (many more worldwide) could make a statement just being there. The ASA and others know that, as well as, we do and that is their trump card it seems.

Completing the social experience

Completing the Social Experience of Autism

Quoted Text Pleas read on.

The social awkwardness can add up to a childhood of ostracism and being thebutt of playground jokes."I was alienated when I was in school. I was made fun of. And I did feelvery alone," said Benjamin Levinson, 36, of Culver City. "I tried to makefriends, but I never really could make any ‹ I just didn't know how." Hereceived a string of incorrect diagnoses before finally learning in his 20sthat he had Asperger's. "Looking back on my life, I know that there was atime between when I was about 13 to the time I was maybe 22 or 23, I wasjust really angryŠ. Thank God I was able to get some help when I needed it,"he said.

This is a quote from a post on another Autism board I'm on. To put this in context the post was dealing with the recent case where a "autistic" guy killed someone in L.A.

The Person Quoted indeed sounds very typical of Autism especially before Rain Man.

PERHAPS autism has come full circle with this,,,,, ? IF Autism would ever care to admit to its GLBT populations it would be obvious we had "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy Training" and thus we also had by default an intense social skills course (friends) to go along with our Autism. Adding a few correctly timed social skills to autism made it possible for us to bridge a few more gaps. Our Anthropology indeed tends to hold traditional jobs and drive and do the autism impossible. We take the stuff Temple Grandin wrote about to new heights. Do you know how hard it is to (and easy) to drive Autistically? -ASK US? (ASA are you listening?)

I guess Autism wise we are not considered Autistic since we do so "well" and in terms of real life we are lower class citizen in lots of people's eyes as we are GLBT and Autistic. People that know us and work with us love us and sometimes we are thought of as Nerds etc. Sometimes we are just one of the guys too. I am in Lambda Car Club and do lots of social events with the club, other members of our anthropology join clubs and have a real life as well. Isn't that what all this Autism "stuff" is all about- a normal life (as possible) -- for our Autistic loved ones? Completing the entire Autism Course one that has never been in a text book /but rather needs developed into one form our world wide double-blind Autism experiments.

I know the LAST thing any research discipline is ever wanting to hear or admit to is a mostly GLBT population but we are here and do the autism impossible everyday It is the Autism EXPERTS that do the possible every day and we are the losers with believing in their expertise. Modern Autism has unknowingly made a bigger mess of autism than it ever was or had to be. IF ? let me repeat that IF? autism ever admits to EVERYONE in its ranks the "Autism Adminstration" will be shocked but the average person that deals with Autism in real life either the Aspie or the family will be plesantly shocked of just how much different our life can be if only the right things were taught. Amish and Autism

Just What kind of Autism do the Amish Have?

Recently, there has been lots of talk in the Autism Community and puzzled folks that wonder why autism looks and presents so much different from the modern diagnosed populations. Honestly, the Amish autistic's tend to mirror our Autism anthropology almost page per page. I wonder if all the autistic people in Amish Community are not picture thinkers, share the preference to alone, and have the pain tolerance, as well as the keen senses? This picture thinking autism lost its credence about 10 years ago when my book Autism Pre Rain Man Autism was released. Its reaching back in time and connecting with the only some of the modern Autism Populations were it's major drawbacks. In other words it deflated the Rain Man Empire (unintentionally)

The picture based Autistic's tend to be the quieter shy folks and indeed the lower functioning people of autism. Our anthropology span's all of autism and draws a line in the sand (sadly) and that means Rain Man era Professionals have a responsibility to keep autism "pure" and not to admit to our high-functioning populations as if they did they would have to admit they were off a few notches. If we were admitted to, just a few of us "retards" would easily prove the world has missed out on a different type of human thought-that has never been in a text book before. RESEARCH is not programmed to get information from the bottom of the gene pool so no matter how well we think in Pictures or how many times we have walked on Broken Bones or how many times we deify the experts by hiding in plain sight, autism has every right to ignore us.

Rain Man Cursed us all in the "kindest" way and If it were not for Rain Man and the people flocking to the cause in its wake-autism might have been left alone and we still would not be diagnosed until we were in our 20's and 30 and even older. The obscure researchers that Rain Man Forced from the field would have proved by now we Think in Pictures and might have even connected picture thoughts with many learning disabilities. They would have studied all of us with painless injuries and also discovered our keys to real life. If only the term hyper activity disorder had not been trumped by Rain Man. Many Kids in the 1970's were diagnosed with that condition but today that isn't even a buzzword. Still it was an excuse to do a diet or prescribe a pill or to. Mixing old and new Autism types (modern Aspies seem not to think in pictures or have painless injuries) has done nothing more than create a bigger mess and keep a lot more shrinks employed. When autism compares Apples to Apples and Oranges to Oranges the mystery of Autism will quickly vanish and I fear Autism research is indeed aware of that. Mankind and generations of autism families have indeed been cheated. Rich Shull

Chronology and Pornography

From Autisitc Author Rich Shull

A chronology and commentary of my book, Autism Pre Rain Man Autism -A book built on Temple Grandin's Thinking in Pictures.

Book Published 2003 by I-Universe Publishers Lincoln, Nebraska.

-Book was originally to be published by Autism Publisher Jessica Kingsly it was once loved and they promised to help with it. I was dropped like a hot potato when the obvious results of our Anthropology were found not to support the Rain Man Autism of today.

-Book was greeted with tons of hateful press and Email and I was even sent lots of Child pornography with the threat the mail would be forwarded on in my name. The only ones really knowing of my book were the insiders in Autism. Most of the hate mail could be traced to the West Coast of the United States near locations where a powerhouse in autism is likely to live.

-Some people that have read it love it and feel cheated that Autism never helped make it a better book or ever admitted to our populations of "regular functioning people"

- Dropped from the Autism Society of America Email newsletter list- perhaps I was quoting a few too many things? This happened after I asked them (again) to admit to us.

- Denied access to the Nashville Autism Convention in July 2005.

-October 2005 More hate mail, and more child pornography has been sent with the threat it will be forwarded on in my name. This might be in response to the announcement I was going to advertise my book In Psychology Today Magazine.
----------------------------------------------------

I would hate to think that the power and might of the Autism Society of America is responsible for this but, it seems they would have the most motivation for sponsoring this fowl behavior. Admitting to our anthropology will unintentionally change the face of autism a little too much for their comfort. It was never my intention to be a pain in the *** but knowledge and double-blind experiment results don't come along everyday. I urge the parents of the low functioning autistic people to support our cause as our odd thought process, once explained is most likely to help your son or daughter.

For the record our thought process has never been a text book before, and our anthropology has overcome and figured out our autism to a large degree. Many of us hold traditional jobs and drive and have familles. Many of us missed Rain Man's curse and we range in age from 80 something's to teenagers. We do the autism impossible EVERYDAY and many of us had a social booster in our lives and we learned most of live via our splinter skills.

I do realize and I'm most thankful for freedom of the press, but pure spite like this just a sign of a bigger problem in Autism. Until all of Autism is accounted for far too many of us will forever be at the mercy of ignorance. Ignorance is the grandiose ideal that masquerades as a fact and even resembles a fact but in reality it has little to do with anything but the loudest voices. The more money and reputations at stake and the louder those voices will scream. Perhaps they are screaming at me with every hateful Email they send? (humor) Good thing I'm autisitc and don't pick up on social clues.
